Which tour should we choose for our family?

For adults who are excited to make the most of their day and really get to know the city, we recommend the Best of San Francisco Tour (6hrs, which includes time for either a lovely waterfront lunch or a deeper dive into our neighborhoods).

Our Wine Country tours are perfect for adult couples and groups of friends. We also offer a family friendly wine-country day, customized upon request.

Napa is elegant and romantic – a perfect bucket list experience for first time and repeat guests alike. Sonoma County offers an off the beaten path, more down-home ambiance, particularly ideal for locals looking for a quick escape.

We’re here to take care of you every step of the way, whether you’re after a leisurely and relaxed itinerary or a nimble pace to check off everything on your bucket list.

We are also the only operator with fully-loaded, and locally built, Tesla Model X and S luxury vehicles. These vehicles offer best in class safety and are a whole lot of fun for kids of ALL ages! Its a unique and memorable way to experience the San Francisco Bay Area.

We have a large family- can you still accommodate us?

The Tesla Model X SUV seats up to 5 guests, we recommend up to 4 adults, or 3 adults and 2 children. The third row is “European style” and most comfortable for 2 children or 1 adult. We’ve had 7’ tall NBA stars in our second row Captains chairs, so most humans fit comfortably!

The Tesla Model S sport sedan seats up to 4 guests. Three adults are seated very comfortably, with a rear middle seat available for a child or more petite person.

Spark Experiences are available for larger groups upon request. Our Teslas together seat up to a maximum of 9 persons (depending on size). Beyond that, we work with top-notch transportation partners that provide anything from large SUVs to Sprinters and full-size motor coaches. Price upon request.

Which tours are kid-friendly?

For families with kids and teens we recommend the 4hr City Highlights Tour, as well as the Muir Woods, Golden Gate and Sausalito tour (outdoors and active!). These are especially engaging and a good duration for younger guests.

We also are one of the VERY few operators who offer a customized family-friendly tour to Napa and Sonoma Wine Country.

We welcome children 5yrs and up as long as they can safely sit in an adult car seat. We frequently tour with families of all shapes and sizes, though we do not provide or allow boosters, car seats, or strollers.

Are your guides experienced with kids?

Rest assured ALL our guides are hand-selected and trained to be not only knowledgeable and interesting, but also kind, fun and easy to talk to — for all ages!

Our lead guide Heather has more than 10 years in luxury hospitality, classroom teaching experience, and many dozen glowing 5-star reviews! In fact, our team of world-class local guides come to us with a wealth of professional experience with companies such as Tauck World Discoveries, Walt Disney Adventures, Insight Gold, Destination America and Abercrombie & Kent… just to name a few!

What time do tours begin?

To maximize your time and access to the best sites, the optimal start time for most tours is 9am. Other start times may be available upon special request.

How should we dress?

Our tours are casual, so slacks, jeans and leisurewear are all perfectly appropriate. The most important wardrobe items to pack are wind-resistant warm outer layers (year round!) and comfortable footwear for walking.

Overall, our weather is very mild and temperate, with averages in the low 60s much of the year. We definitely recommend dressing in multiple light layers, especially for our cool ocean breezes and famous fog near the coast.

Do you pick up at our hotel or airport?

Yes, part of your Spark Experience is luxury roundtrip transportation to and from central locations within the City of San Francisco, including Downtown, SOMA, Nob Hill and Fisherman’s wharf!

We highly recommend starting all tours from your place of lodging. We offer upgraded pickup from SFO area hotels, upon special request. Please note that we cannot store unattended luggage or personal items or in the vehicle at any time.
